
Rockstar Games, the makers behind the popular Grand Theft Auto video game series, announced last week that they have joined forced with New York-based DJing institute, Dubspot, to bring their Beaterator title into classrooms.
Dubspot and Rockstar plan to bring their PSP production title to into classrooms and after-school programs in the New York City area and beyond.
"The partnership is aimed at educating youth in the fundamental aspects of music theory and composition utilizing mobile technology and Beaterator," Rockstar Games said in a press release.
Beaterator is a robust beat-making and music production suite, available for the PSP. It was created by Rockstar in a collaboration with superproducer Timbaland, who provides sounds and loops for the title.
